Presidential Advice
When a man is accused
of sexual assault…
Think of your husbands,
think of your sons,
think of the accused whose
life is in tatters
I thought of my husband
and I thought of my sons
who would think of
their mother, their sisters,
their wives, their daughters,
who would think of
the accusers who had
agreed to a public flogging
rather than continue
to struggle for air
while chocking on the truth
And then I thought…
how much longer can a nation
be advised to walk on its hands
in order to appear right-side-up
before all the blood has
rushed to its head
