Bloodstains On The Cassock
I am the priest
Who sped while on phone call,
The one that swerved into his lane
And accidentally killed that driver.
I am that evil day
The noon that doomed you
I am the worst fear you confirmed,
That news that tore you apart.
I am hidden within
I read litanies, wed couples
Listen to your confessions
Comfortably, innocently, I preach
I wear a transparent mask
But actually, I am a masquerade.
I wear a political robe
Amidst a hypocritical clergy,
Yes, my collar glitters
My Sudan dazzles
My cassock sweeps
But you know me not.
My religious career is safe
My image, intact
My reputation, godly
At the detriment of my victim,
Politics; in the Church language.
The trauma lies fallow
The pain rests with them,
Bravo! My team, good job
A clean sheet I retain
Maria prayed, Christi answered
Surely, heaven is mine.
Many A Time
Many a time, life is neither crooked nor wicked; either fate or date.
Many a time, the goal is neither sure nor pure; either wished or furnished.
Many a time, the band is neither passionate nor compassionate; either led or red.
Many a time, the chief is neither merited nor spirited; either bought or thought.
Many a time, life is neither hasty nor tasty; either pruned or tuned.
MANY A TIME IT IS A SUBTERFUGE
Words On My Mirror (VII)
I will build my first skyscraper with morals, the others with money.
Do not be afraid of mistakes, they too help scales fall off our eyes.
We can never deny lapses in the areas we major.
The life we live is a written script, we are actors. However, we can excel or fail in our roles.
Life is all about footprints, footmarks and footsteps, amazingly and unfortunately not about our diamond footwear.
Young parents must learn to discipline their children, as carelessness and over-pampering is a road to heartbreak.
There must be a time in your life when sugar will be bitter, else you are still a baby.
Practice is the best and most effective sermon.
A cursed man may appear comfortable; known or unknown to him and others, he lives inside a cage.
Befriend wiser people; your speed will automatically increase.
