Defending Europe

You can’t celebrate

The budget increases

For the Department of Defense

Approved with the intent

Of creating jobs

In the military industrial complex

When the next issue raised

Is to complain about how

Those funds are spent,

And how much

The U. S. spends

To defend Europe

While showing the world

What Super Power means,

So you can’t ask NATO countries

To spend more

When America refuses

To pay less

Unable to confess

Being a false martyr

Enjoying the privileges

And the paradise

Of sacrifice

While sacrificing

Nothing.
