BIBLE-TOTING MONKEYS
Ananias and Sapphira died
A shameful death, because they lied:
Wanted to help further the Gospel
But conspired to lie in the Temple-
Seeking to be among the selfless
Sold their land, ended up lifeless!
That was the time of Church-family
Not this time of alms-seeking homily
Now, Reverend’s words become fingers
Goes into pockets and there lingers
‘Amen!’ His belly is bloated, bank full
But pocket-owner turns paupered fool!
Today, church knows not its members
Pastor forget names (tithe he remembers!)
Go in a beggar, you’ll get beggared
Go in haggard, you’ll exit tattered
Go in a sinner, out a canonized Devil
Ah, how came about this great evil!?
See… Pastor taxes his congregation
He builds great colleges in the nation
Charges fees members can never afford!
Pastor flies jets, member walks Leg-Accord!
…But Jesus walked afoot, borrowed donkey!
Abeg, who taught these Bible-toting monkeys?
HEARTS DON’T FART IN ERROR
A heart is not an anus —
It farts on planned stimulus…
So, if there’s a foul odor
Consider the exit door!
a sudden fart is earthquake
but, i tell you, its no mistake
the fart that comes quietly —
‘twas planned, eased gently
consider the exit door
when comes the foul odor
a heart farts on stimulus
it is not like uncle Anus
Hearts
Don’t
Fart
In
Error!
MORE THAN THE EYES CAN SEE
there’s always more than the eyes can see!
above sea waves, eyes will find a lot to fancy –
if you’ll look further, more things wait undersea.
if you’ll listen further, more sounds will emerge:
hasty ears hear not what crafty lips submerge –
there’s more to hear than the initial surge!
HOW DO I DEFINE YOU?
In your faceless presence
I smell you, like incense
Burning in the temple
And I am lost in its pull
I could think you a rose
And write you a prose
Of rare affections pure
And true devotion sure
What if you are more thorn
Than petals? Then torn
Would be my heart, blinded
And now soon to be dead!
I could call you a clover
And win your heart over
With my unsure words
Useless like blunt swords
But how would I know
If you are a mistletoe
Or a scheming cactus
Soon my heart to abuse?
