A monk’s temple

In time

within

elevated, aloft

without;

untouched

untangled

without

attachment

of, the

nebulous kind

refined

akin to

that internal

grin

which needs

no sanctuary

of

external

approval.

Divinely guided

Lights in the distance

a voice from above

chartering

direction towards

evolutionary heights

experienced

from yesteryear

the only fear

remaining seeks

a plateau

of maturation

for modern day

expansion

of yesterday’s

bounty

an entity

no one recognizes

as the voice

of their

ancestors.
