What does “Never Forget” mean to you?

I never forget the murder of 3,000 by 19 dead criminals.

I never forget the disgrace of our cowardice as a nation before those criminals and the enormous victories we gave them.

I never forget the outpouring of grief and rage by the American people.

I never forget how that grief and rage was manipulated to justify the willing sacrifice of so many of America’s freedoms in speedy passage of The Patriot Act.

I never forget how that grief and rage was manipulated to justify the murder of 100,000 innocent Iraqi’s.

I never forget how that grief and rage was used to line the pockets of our Vice-President’s cronies.

I never forget the demoralization of our superb and proud military by the disgrace of how the Iraq war was waged and how the innocents of Iraq were hounded in their homes, jailed without warrant or reason, and tortured without principle or mercy.

I never forget the disgrace of our cowardice as a nation before 19 dead criminals and the enormous victories they won.

I never forget the murder during World War II of millions of Jews, Poles, Gypsies, Communists, and queers.

I never forget the kidnapping, rape, and enslavement of tens of millions of Africans which forms the economic basis of so many nations including America.

I never forget the repression, degradation, and outright enslavement of billions of women throughout history up till today.

I have built satellites, worked in the operating room, been in a cult, …

I earn my living as part of a group which is trying to understand and treat head injury.

In my poetry and short blog pieces, I want to express ideas with unambiguous clarity and intensity.

I willingly sacrifice rhyme and meter, art, cleverness, elegance, and beauty for these.
