Refuge

Refuge;

in the hour of darkness.

No shelter

all running helter – skelter.

Turn of tide,

life in turbulent waters.

Glory all lost

in a land with new sunshine.

Refuge;

in the hour of despair.

Bruised and fighting; the angel soul.

Damage;

so difficult to cope.

Standing distant few souls though

with arms open so wide.

God send angel; as may seem

Breathes the soul;

a new lease of life.

Once again

Awake, afresh

Unleashed; a new goal

New life; same soul

In this place called;

‘Refuge’.
