You Are Sleeping My Love

these rains

throw back

little of past

unleash present

clouds smothering skies

two interlocked, reveries

hills sleep coitus.

then dream

I dream

you dream

because it’s raining my love

because the blue shaft of light

is missing

dream, dream, dreaming

somnambulists

because it’s raining

my love:

because soon pale mists will lift

dreamy eyes, my love;

into seething horizons

of time scarred hills.

and, you are sleeping

my love.
