Come Back To Me

Those shades of grey

the mystical autumn

come back to me,

come back to me

that loveless topography

the hilly carts,

the slushy fields

ball on the bounce

come back to me

come back to me

the summery wind

the winter’s ghost

the mountains blue, ragged

come back to me

come back to me

the water of the lake

those pebbly streams

come back to me

come back to me

the school built of wood

the racy mood of playing bang bang

and sprinting in the field

come back to me

come back to me.

Taking a dip in the sea.

Whetted dreams, appetite

pick of oranges, glutinous jelly

jam in the making, cakes baking

come back to me

come back to me.
