the president & his people

they are foxes – jumping

to an agenda that is a

mean-spirited cartoon.

ambush.  false witness.  poor translation.

cancerous anomalies.

donald harms.  he hurts others.

his anger swallows the moon.

he smiles:

his skin is caked with

irritating half-dissolved salt

that falls from a rotting

volcanic face.

still, he smiles.

but, fortunately, many of us see

beyond his polluted dusk and fly,

idealistically,

toward open lavender sky.
