Forward step

(In a historic first, Senate advances a Bill to end U. S. support for illegal war in Yemen, November 29, 2018)

How long will they remain ‘yes -men’

Witnessing US-Saudi strikes on Yemen?

Time has come to create history

By asserting their rights in the country

So, the first ever conscious vote

By the Senate to end military support

Might seal the fate of Trump’s misadventure

And stop aid to an unjust imperialist war

First steps towards sanity have begun

The prayers of Yemenis might have won

In solidarity

(Students from 30 UK Universities protest to mark International Day of Solidarity with Palestine People, Nov 30, 2018)

The exuberance of youth

The power of truth

Always stands by the oppressed

Palestine people who have been suppressed

By ruthless zionists

Aided by western imperialists

‘Brothers and sisters! Comrades!

We march for your rights!’

Resonate students voices

Campaigning ‘Apartheid off Campus’

As the struggle continues

Israeli violations are no new news

But the pressure starts to mount

As international solidarity against Israel surmounts
