From sucking blood to soaking with blood

Corrupt, we were

Sucking citizens’ blood dry

Devoid a conscience

That asks us “Why?”

As they have

Unseated us

From power,

When democracy is mentioned

Since it is our bent to cower,

As a retaliatory measure,

Atavists, we shall make

Them take with their blood

A shower.

We shall shift

From sucking blood

To soaking our hands

With blood,

Which we love to see

Flowing like a flood.
