So the Government has backed down and will not be requiring UK businesses who hire immigrants that undercut British workers to be named and shamed.
I am sure that makes unemployed indigenous to the UK feel really valued all the more for the fact not only is it being allowed in the first place, but it is being kept secret like something deposited in a dark corner when nobody is looking. One may not see it, but the metaphorical smell is still there.
We have been told that the Government just want to assess what industries need more workers ‘home grown’ for in those areas. That is a ludicrous statement in itself.
Next on the same wish list are the further challenges to the legalities of Brexit as the same groups of people must have access to the single market, MPs and Parliament haven’t had their say but for goodness sake the people were asked to decide this matter and they did.
What will it take, Oliver Cromwell to march into Parliament with his Army again? He may be gone but the righteous indignation of the ordinary person who gave him his remit lives on in ordinary people still today. Mrs May is, I am sure, mindful of the same.
The Prime Minister knows what will happen if she does not keep to her promises and the civil unrest that will more than likely be taken to the streets if she goes back on her promises.
How on earth do these people think the UK survived prior to our joining Europe, and let us not forget that Europe commenced and changed its countenance over the years, and does not disclose all its aims which is frightening when one recalls it has declared the ambition of a European Army one day, and that is bad enough.
Britain was Great long before the EU, and to many of us, is still Great if small minded greedy business concerns will let it be.
The greed (and embarrassment caused by all these issues which whine on), the poor losing attitudes of these ‘mardy’ and ‘must haves’ with their demands and shopping lists are what got us into this mess in the first place in Mrs Thatcher’s time, commencing with shares in Bradford and Bingley. The same greed which sullied Tony Blair’s opportunity when he gave up the Labour heritage when he entered No 10 to a people wanting Old Labour that would redeem them post tyranny that was Mrs Thatcher after 18 years of suppression of the working classes (Scots especially with trials of Poll Tax and questions about monies earned via Scottish Oil, from which there seemed little to show for same, but instead Blair cut them loose in favour of business groups). Never mind the quality, feel the width, as they say.
The old ideologues who claim we need to appease commerce so we can thereby grow as a Nation would do well to think how Carers, Pensioners, sick, disabled (and homeless) survive when the first groups learn constantly that their money is being cut back, and/or stolen via political goal post swapping (reason for WASPI Campaign now) and the homeless do not have enough to buy a cup of coffee or a sandwich never mind find a roof over their heads or a job now assigned to immigrants.
Carers lost Pensions – where are the business groups when someone’s elderly relative needs to be washed, cleaned, fed and looked after with love every day, paid for by love of their relatives, not cheap wages to immigrants, but love. What about these businesses showing love to their fellow countrymen and women and sponsoring care from the money they are saving by robbing from British Workers when they are doing them out of a job? They should offer the jobs to UK workers first and help the elderly, homeless and sick via Government related schemes and grants, then everyone can benefit.
Would it not be better to train the homeless and provide homes and subsidies for them and let Charity begin at home?
Remember the song, We’re all backing Britain? Perhaps that applies to some people more than others.
Companies who choose to undercut British Workers should be named and shamed, details via the Freedom of Information another route to ascertain who they are. Word will get out – that is inevitable.
After all, if they cannot afford to pay a living wage to Nationals then they should not be in business in the first place.
Is a workman not worthy of their hire?
