AND them black ‘boyz’ cried

He didn’t hear ‘em’

by ‘n’ by,

still yet

we prayed

even

put blood on the door

to protect our first born.

AND them black ‘boyz’ cried

He didn’t hear ‘em’

by ‘n’ by

still yet

we prayed

And ‘dem’ trees

Swung ‘em’ on high.

AND them black ‘boyz’ cried

He didn’t hear ‘em’

by ‘n’ by,

still yet

we prayed

Atlanta child murderers away.

AND them black ‘boyz’ cried

He didn’t hear ‘em’

by ‘n’ by,

still yet

we prayed

black on black killings ‘jus’ go away

AND them black ‘boyz’ cried

He didn’t hear ‘em’

by ‘n’ by,

still yet

we prayed

that shot ‘RANG’ from the balcony was never made.

AND them black ‘boyz’ cried

He didn’t hear ‘em’

by ‘n’ by,

still yet

we prayed

Malcolm’s life replayed

AND them black ‘boyz’ cried

He didn’t hear ‘em’

by ‘n’ by,

still yet

we prayed

code blue would spare JUST one today.

AND them black ‘boyz’ cried

He didn’t hear ‘em’

by ‘n’ by,

still yet

we prayed,

tomorrow’s another day

‘dem’ black ‘boyz’ WILL FOREVER cry

by ‘an’ by

Handicapped

Webster’s say’ze

“having a physical

or mental

disability”

(p.565)

makes one handicapped

you SEE.

So…

my guess is:

we all fall SHORT

into one of two category’s

physical

or a mental plea

Physical

‘iz’ what you SEE

‘wit’ the handicap on ‘da’ street.

Mental

‘iz’ what the handicap SEE’S

in both

you and in me.

WATCH

your treatment of them,

‘cause’

they’re more precious

than silver ‘an’ gold

than even we

are to Him.

When you stare at them

They’re staring right back

at a mental fool

Ha!

Jokes on you!!!
