Camera

Eyes alive

Oh, you astounding never ceasing

never easing wandering eyes

with your laser dissection

and brutal and vicious intentions

Wait!

Record

Freeze

Frame

Fry

Pause

Adjust

Focus

Come together

Move in

Closer now

Almost there

This moment will last forever

We will petrify it in a digital memory

We will petrify it in a life never lived

Everything is open

Everything is Now

Nothing is yours

Nothing

We are simple voyeurs

traveling through wire

Cold

Cold

A broken wintry womb lies in wait

Stoic

Breathless

We broke down the door of the cellar

gathering all whiskey bottles

which could be found

We ran through wild and dead country

with women we did not know

with lovers we dared never caress

with haters who wandered into

our circle of undying energy

This thoughtless shaky unrest

We drank ourselves far into this entombed season

clasping each other like

long lost oxygen

Breathless

Waiting

We do not know what will come next

We have no plans

We are bruised and bitten inside this frozen night
