Soothing Poetry

Is it fine with you

the way society is running

Is it fine to see so much hatred

crime, disease and poverty

Is it fine to see humans still wanting to live

As if life is all there is to be

Why, the cause of life is still unknown

Humans spawn, thrive, grow, blossom

only to wilt!

Such a truth looms over my conscience

Such a truth causes me to take my pen

And create

Poetry

Poetry, to forget about it

Poetry, to fall in love with life

Poetry, to pretend that society is not ill

Poetry, to imagine a new world

A world where living is fair

A world where living is pleasant

Why

A world, same as Eden

A world, yes, fallen but wonderful!

Pray, is it fine with you

All that you hear on the news, every day

Well

If it is not

Do drown yourselves in my lines

And like me, open your mind!
